Melbourne University Press
The Enduring Rip

Melbourne University Press (MUP) was founded in 1922 to sell books and stationery to students. It soon developed its own publishing program and later established its own printing facilities.

MUP employs two main imprints. The name ‘Melbourne University Press’ is a general imprint publishing scholarly titles. The other Miegunyah Press, begun in the 1960s at the suggestion of Sir Russell Grimwade. It is supported by a bequest and allows MUP to produce books of enduring quality with the highest production standards.

Actual Size had the pleasure of designing The Enduring Rip, Barry Hill’s history of Queenscliffe for the MUP imprint.
